VOCABULARY
1.     There’s nothing to tell:  When friends are asking for information about a date, but the friend going on the date doesn’t want to say or reveal any information, they can say that.
2.     A hump and a hairpiece: a bump on a person’s back, like on The Hunchback of Notre Dame’s back, and a hairpiece is a wig.  
3.     Aura:  The area of air around a person where one can see another’s natural energy.
4.     To Fixate: To concentrate, consume, preoccupy on/with something.
5.     Limoges gravy boat: A metal container used to pour gravy.
6.     Sweet And Low: A company that produces imitation sugar.
7.     To freak out: To act a little crazy for a moment
8.     Then it hit me: I realised.
9.     Mr. Potato Head:  A children’s toy where you attach different facial parts to a brown object that looks like a potato.
10. To drift apart: To lose touch.  To lose contact with someone.  Gone in different directions in life.
11. A metaphor: An image, a simile, a symbol, a figure of speech.
12. To hit on: To try to win over a member of the opposite sex using certain words, such as pick-up lines: “What’s your sign”, or “Do you come here often?”.
13. A dear diary moment: Girls often write about special events in their journal.
14. Aruba: A country the Dutch colonised in the Caribbean.
15. To hang out: To go somewhere or to do something with friends.
16. Bracket-y things: Something pertaining/related to a piece of the furniture that resembles an angle.
17. Worm guys: Small plastic nails/screws that resemble little worms.
18. To be screwed: When someone does something to you that was unfair, you feel screwed.
19. Machine cut me off again: When you are leaving a message on a telephone answering machine, and the allowed time for leaving a message ends before you are finished leaving the message.
20. Jimmies: Little candies.
21. Walked out on me: He dumped me, broke up with me, and ended the relationship without warning.
22. A fifth date revelation: You do not want to reveal too much on a first or second date, but you maybe willing to disclose more information by the fifth date.
23. Billy, don’t be a hero: A 1974 anti-war song.  Ross said: “Do the words, Billy don’t be a hero mean anything to you”, because 1974 was the last time he grabbed a spoon; it was a long time ago.
24. To get it together: Work up the courage, or to work out your problems and become normal again.
25. While you’re on a roll: When things are good, more and more good things keep on happening, so try something and it will probably end in a favourable result.
26. To take credit for: To accept praise or recognition for something you may have done.
27. A line: When trying to meet people for a relationship, people may repeat a sentence used to attract their romantic interest, such as: “Do you come here often”?
28. A beacon: A guiding light, a flare, a flashing flashlight used to attract attention.  Airplanes have beacons.
29. To be laughed out: People laugh at you so you feel uncomfortable and leave.
30. To live off: To not work and have others support you, financially.
31. Albino guy: An albino is a person who lacks colour in their skin and hair.
32. Then I found aromatherapy: Then I discovered or found out that I really love the career of massage with fragrances.
33. It sucks!: That is terrible, awful!!
34. To crash on the couch: To sleep on the sofa.
35. A major crush on you: A person likes a member of the opposite sex, but they aren’t really serious.
36. Geek:  Unable to perform socially; nerdy.
37. Vulnerability: susceptibility; easily influenced.

38. What’s with you?: Said to another person when they say or act in a silly way.
